The temple is built in the Vijayanagara style of architecture and has beautifully carved granite pillars reminiscent of Hoysala influence.The sanctum sanctorum which houses idols of Sri Ranganatha Swamy, and his consorts Sri Bhudevi and Neela Devi. The temple is located in the Chikkapete (Chickpet) area of central Bangalore on Rangaswamy Temple Street. The road is named after the famous Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple.

Opens at 4 am and closes by 8 pm. Few shops r around the temple where wooden crafts are available for sale. At least 30-50 % bargain is possible

Ancient temple with positive vibes, Rangnathswamy is lord Vishnu in sleeping position in this temple,all tension disappear when u see lord in this position, during my visit i saw a special puja of lord with traditional vocal instrument.

Historical temple. Timings are strictly followed 7AM to 12 PM and then 6 PM to 8:30 PM. Car parking is not possible as the temple located in market area.

One of the oldest temples for Lord Vishnu in lying pose. Since the idol is small the priest could have used less of ornaments or say the silver shield/armor on the God was not fixed properly. Lord Ranganathar was not visible clearly due to the decoration.
